One of our favoritte places to visit is areas along the Buffalo National river. Here you will find some of the best scenery you will find inywhere in the country. Beautiful water,towering cliffs and excellent hunting and fishing are just a few of the attractions.
We have only been here on three different trips but you can be sure we plan to return soon.
We have stayed near the town of Jasper Arkansas twice,and the last trip was south of Jasper in Richland creek wilderness area.
Both places are very nice but practically two different worls. In Jasper, you have food, gas, ice, showers, tv ect. At Richland Creek, you leave all that behind.
If you want motels, cabins and the like, Jasper is good. If you want to get way back there and be secluded, try Richland.
You will find, in my mind, some of the most scenic hiking trails around down here. When the water is flowing good, this area supports some excelent kayaking.
